F.A.Q's

If your question isn’t answered here please ask for assistance on the contact me page.

Q1. Can I use the same registration code on two computers ?
A. Yes. Each registration code allows you to register the software on up to two computers. If you wish to register on more than 2 computers then please purchase further registration codes.

Q2. Can the software tell me when somebody has won and stop the game automatically ?
A. No, it’s up to the player to call bingo and stop the game.

Q3. I have some ‘shutter’ type cards, can I use them with this software ?
A. Possibly. The serial numbers must be between 1 and 5000 and you must enter the data manually. Once you have entered the data for your cards the software will treat them the same as printed cards, so it can display them and auto check them for a win. You can even mix them with software printed cards if you wish.

Q4. Will my registration code for Stateside Bingo V.3 (or earlier) work with V.4 ?
A. No, the registration system has changed. A new registration code will need to be purchased. See the update policy.

Q5. I need to reformat my computer. Can I make a backup of the card data, session manager data, voice files and custom patterns that I have created ?
A. Yes you can. Look in \My Documents\Stateside Bingo and copy the Card Data, Session Manager Data, Voices and User Patterns folders to your backup device. When you re-install the software make sure you enter your registration details before copying the above files back to their correct location.

Q6. Can I use ready made bingo paper with Stateside Bingo V.4 software ?
A. You can use ready made paper if you wish but the automatic card verification will only work with cards that are printed using the software. Ready made cards will have to be checked manually.

Q7. Can I print cards on one computer and then use a different computer to call the bingo ?
A. It is possible to use different computers to print and call the bingo but the “Card Data” folder would need to be copied to the calling computer. I recommend that the same computer is used for printing, calling and checking.

Q8. How many cards can I print ?
A. The maximum amount is 99999 cards.

Q9. What happens when I reach the 99999 card limit. Does the bingo software stop working ?
A. No it doesn’t stop working but you will need to delete the stored card data to make room for new data. Don’t forget, you can delete the card data at any time, for example; before printing cards for a new session.

Q10. Do you guarantee that all the cards will be different ?
A. Because the cards are randomly generated I can’t guarantee that you won’t get duplicate cards.

Q11. How much HDD space will I need to store the data for 99999 cards ?
A. Storing the data for 99999 cards will use 5.78 MB of HDD space.

Q12. Do I need to have the .NET framework 3.5 installed ?
A. Yes the framework needs to be installed. Stateside Bingo V.4 will check your computer for you and prompt you to download it (from Microsoft) if you don’t have it, or you can download it with the .NET framework included.

Q13. Can I mix standard, large and extra large cards ?
A. Yes, which makes this software ideal for players with some visual loss as well as those with good eyesight.

Q14. What resolutions does Stateside Bingo V.4 support ?
A. I recommend 1024*768 or higher.

Q15. The cards don’t print properly/ I can’t see the paper size or source when using my Lexmark/Dell printer.
A. This problem only affects version 3 users. Make sure you are using the latest printer driver. Also see the ReadMe (found in ‘\My Documents\Stateside Bingo’) for a workaround.
